Pets for Summer Vacation

Have you ever wondered if owning a pet was for you?

The Science Center is offering students and their families the opportunity to be a short-term pet owner by caring for an animal over summer vacation. Many different kinds of animals are available: gerbils, rabbits, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, etc. All families who choose to foster an animal over vacation are supplied with an initial set-up of food and habitat supplies. After the initial set-up materials have been depleted, families are responsible for supplying all materials (food, shavings, etc.) that the animal needs until school begins again in September.

If you have any questions about this program or are interested in fostering an animal, please contact Wendy Pavlicek at the Science Center (781-270-2928) to make an appointment to pick up your animal the first week in June.
