Peace T-Shirts: A Pictorial

Thank you, thank you, thank you! To all our parents, we thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to make T-shirts for Peace on Friday. With so many donations of paint, markers, foil, wax paper, trays, t-shirts and money for additional supplies, we were able to produce these stunning items of clothing. We could not have done such a fantastic job with your help. The children and I were absolutely stunned by the outpouring of support we received from each and every one of you. We cannot thank you enough.

As you are aware, we are asking for monetary donations of any amount to OneFundBoston, to correspond with the 'sale' of each t-shirt. You can make the donation yourself by clicking the link above, or you can send the money in to class with your child and we will donate it as a group gift from our classroom. You will be notified as soon as the T-shirts are available for 'sale'. It is entirely possible that some T-shirts will need more drying time than others so I will not make any available until all are ready to leave for home. (The only thing I ask is that you let your child know how much you plan to donate per t-shirt you buy so that we can do the math in class once all the 'sales' are in!)

I would like to personally thank Mrs. Conlon, Mrs. Daly and Mrs. Naddaff for coming in on Friday to help us with the mammoth set-up and organization of our T-shirt party. They were instrumental in the success of our afternoon and I could not have done this activity without their stellar assistance. I would also like to thank Barbara our tireless custodian and table setter-upper extraordinaire. I thank you all!

We will publish photographs of each t-shirt made next week so that you can see the finished products up close and personal.  Also, as we have several blank t-shirts left over and plenty of fabric paint/markers, we have enough (we believe) to have one more T-shirt party for our end of the year celebration in June. Once again, I can't thank you all enough for your generosity and support with this project. It was awe-inspiring.

The pictures below represent the 'process':
