Chris Van Allsburg, author of such familiar children's books as

Two Bad Ants, will be speaking at the Brattle Theater this Friday, October 28 in conjunction with authors Lois Lowry (author of
The Giver, Number the Stars and the
Anastasia series) and Roger Sutton (Editor-in-Chief of the Horn Book, Inc.) Chris will be speaking in reference to his new book,
The Chronicles of Harris Burdick, a collection of stories written by various authors inspired by the illustrations of
